Introducing Dr. Matthew Stevens
And the Pro Sports Institute
Matthew Stevens, Doctor of Physical Therapy, attended Baldwin-Wallace College for his undergraduate studies in Pre-Physical Therapy and Exercise Science, where he also played collegiate football all four years. By 2010 Dr. Stevens graduated from Walsh University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and was ready to continue his passion for athletics in a new way.
His clinical expertise includes outpatient orthopedics, post-operative rehabilitation and sports injuries. Through the years he has continually improved his skill set and knowledge to focus on manual therapy of the spine, and diagnosis of shoulder pathology in throwing athletes. After becoming certified in American Dry Needling in 2012, he opened Elite Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation LLC in Northeast Ohio.
"There needs to be some statement about creating or now doing business as Pro Sports Institute"
Matt is excited to join the PSP family as part of his ongoing commitment of excellent service to the area. He will provide PSP "athletes and the surrounding communities" the most efficient treatments including hands-on Manual Therapy, Dry Needling and Corrective Exercise to improve performance and reduce the risk of injury.
Some of Matt's favorite athletic activities includes training for triathlons, cycling, water skiing, weight training and practicing yoga.
